What's The Latest News?

Brent & AnnaSo, what's going on at Caprea Farmstead lately? Many people have written me and asked why the old website still reflected the 2004 breeding information. So, here we are - with a fresh new look and a long overdue update! A few things have changed in the last several years, and a few thing still remain the same. The things that have not changed are that I am still committed to the dairy goat industry and promoting dairy goat products. In 2005, I made a hard decision to sell over half of the dairy goat herd, and lease out the remaining top half of my herd to some breeder-friends of mine. This was due in part to my desire to be able to travel and judge around the country more, hay allergies that made barn work very unpleasant, and a few other areas. In 2006, I met a wonderful young lady named Anna Nicholson. In April of 2007, I moved to North Carolina and we were married August 11, 2007!

Now that I'm here, I'm concentrating my career into the media department. After working with a newspaper in advertising sales for almost a year, I am concentrating on media development, graphic design, photography and advertising working for myself and as a subcontractor. What used to be Caprea Marketing Strategies is now CMS Design, and there is a new family effort into 36Pro, a joint computer programming and design company that is still in it's infancy stages.

I still own several animals that are in Pennsylvania. Currently I'm not in a position to have dairy goats at my place.

I still very much enjoy staying active in the goat community, and getting to meet many breeders as I'm judging around the country. While I'm not currently in a position to take care of a goat herd, the plan one day is to have a family effort surrounding another dairy goat operation. I love to hear from you all, so drop me a line or visit my blog link below to keep up on things going on in my life!
